Will a Union Sponsored Socialist Regime Allow 3-D Printing Innovation to Upset Manufacturing?

Innovators and designers are quite intrigued by the new concept of 3-D printing and manufacturing. Consider if you will being able to design something on your computer using CAD/CAM software and then merely hitting the print button and that object is made into a real 3-D prototype. Next, imagine going to a catalog online downloading the code for a particular object, and then printing it? You don't have to get in your car and drive to the store, and whoever is manufacturing it doesn't have to hire labor, have facilities, or have it shipped. Okay so let's talk shall we?
If there ever was any sort of disruptive technology, it would surely be 3-D printing. And we had better get ready because it is coming very quickly. Today the 3-D printing material is very costly, but in the future I bet it isn't, and I bet you will be able to print just about anything. This doesn't bode well for trucking and distribution companies, or even the shipping industry as a whole. It wouldn't be very good for FedEx ground, home delivery, or FedEx air. UPS which is a union company, their employees probably won't like this growing concept as it permeates free-markets either.
Folks that work in factories making automotive parts, aircraft parts, machinery, sports equipment, kitchen utensils, tools, or anything else won't like it. They won't be needed anymore, and they don't have to worry about a robot taking over their job in a factory, because a whole bunch of little tiny robots known as 3-D printers will be taking over their job through this new distributive manufacturing concept. That's not going to be very funny for labor unions or the socialist regimes which prop them up and are able to maintain power due to the loyalty of the union voters.
Personally, I see a coming clash between political parties, unions, and the wishes of the American people who want their products inexpensively as possible, and instantaneously. 3-D printing will allow both of those due to the incredible efficiencies. Right now, some companies are upset about the bandwidth it takes to download movies on their Internet, and cable companies and other providers of bandwidth are making waves already about that. Consider if you will how much data is involved in printing of a 3-D object? There will be all sorts of winners and losers in this game, but it will be labor unions that will be the most concerned.
You can bet the Democrats in the United States are going to call for hell or high water to prevent 3-D printing in the future. Nevertheless, if they become too obstinate and prevent the citizens from the freedom and liberty of downloading their own products and manufacturing them with their own 3-D printers then the voters will turn on them. Stay tuned, because this will get very interesting in the future. Please consider all this and think on it.
